Nutrition Secure Indianapolis is a research-based project focused on the impact of proper nutrition. Through a one-year study, we aim to deliver tangible, peer-reviewable data showing the link between access to nutritious food and improved mental, physical, educational and employment outcomes. This isn’t simply a food program - it’s an outcome-driven initiative designed to demonstrate the power of coalition-based action and create a sustainable, scalable model for global nutrition security.

How the Program Works
For one year, Nutrition Secure Indianapolis will provide 250 families with weekly grocery boxes containing produce and protein such as chicken, pork and beef. Families will also receive access to valuable educational resources, including financial planning, nutrition and cooking classes, and SNAP and WIC education, along with enrollment support. Our program aims to help break the cycle of poor nutrition in Indianapolis households, creating a healthier and more resilient community.
Our Goal
The Nutrition Secure Indy initiative aims to generate peer-reviewable research on the impact of food boxes and balanced diets in improving nutritional health and food security for Indianapolis families. By demonstrating coalition success and a scalable global model, the program seeks to advance evidence-based, ethical and transparent research that strengthens scientific validity, improves health and learning outcomes, and provides a sustainable framework for tackling nutrition insecurity.
Coalition Partners
